The gate

I am going to try to paint my gates this morning.  That doesn’t sound like a big project but you can drive a simi-truck through our gates.  The fence looks nice now.  I planted some flowers along the front and my roses are blooming.  I got a country cottage look going on here.  One of the roses is a pink climber that I am going to train on the top of the fence.
The dandelion wine seems to be coming alone well.  It is still brewing.  I started a batch of sambuca last week.  It is made with Elderberry flowers.  It smells really nice.  I made some  tea with the blossoms by pouring two quarts of boiling water over a pint of fresh flowers and letting it steep for an hour.  It is really a refreshing drink with a little sugar and a squeeze of lemon.
