Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

This cookie is for chocolate lovers.  Chewy richness of chocolate inside and out.  Rich and buttery with loads of chocolate chips and nuts.


Double Chocolate Chip Cookies


  • 1 cup (225 gr.) soft butter
  • 1 cup (225 gr.) sifted confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups (685 gr.) sifted all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (115 gr.) cocoa
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (225 gr.) chopped walnuts
  • 8 ounces (225 gr.) chocolate chips.


Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and beat until light. Add flour, cocoa and salt; mix well. Fold in walnuts and chocolate chips. Chill for several hours. Shape into long logs about 1 inch in diameter. Cut into ¼ inch slices; arrange on cookie sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degree Fahrenheit for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on rack.

Yield: Makes about 80 cookies.
